A plain-English summary of what we collect when you visit poweredbycatalyst.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Short, because we don't run a complicated operation.
Powered by Catalyst (“Catalyst,” “we,” “us”) is an AI agency based in Erie, Colorado, USA. This policy applies to poweredbycatalyst.com and any pages we publish under it. It does not cover client systems we build and operate on behalf of customers, which are governed by separate agreements with those customers.
When you submit a brief through the form on our site, we receive whatever you put into it: your name, company, email address, budget range, engagement type, and the message you write. The form also includes a hidden honeypot field that bots sometimes fill in; if that field has a value, we discard the submission.
Our hosting provider logs standard request information when pages are served: IP address, user agent, referrer, and the URL requested. We use this for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring.
We use Google Ads conversion tracking (gtag.js) so we can tell when a Google Ads click leads to a contact-form submission. Google receives the kind of browser-level information any analytics tag would: page URL, referrer, a cookie identifier, and conversion events when they happen. The contents of your form submission are not transmitted to Google as part of this conversion tracking.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Some uses of advertising or analytics cookies may qualify as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain state laws; you can limit these uses with the browser-level controls described under Cookies & tracking.
We share information with the service providers that help us operate the site and respond to inquiries. Current providers fall into categories such as:
These providers are bound by their own privacy practices, and data flowing through them is subject to those practices. The specific providers we use may change as we update our tools. We do not provide personal information to third parties for their own marketing, and we may disclose information when required by law, in response to lawful process, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
The site uses cookies that Google Ads sets to recognize a click-through and attribute a later conversion, and may use other limited cookies needed for the site to function. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so will not break the site, though it may affect ad attribution or analytics. Because there is no consistent industry standard for the Do Not Track browser signal, we do not currently respond to it; the browser-level controls above achieve a similar outcome.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you, which can include the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of that information, and to object to or limit certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email alex@poweredbycatalyst.com. We will take reasonable steps to verify the request and respond within the timeframe your local law requires. We will not charge for reasonable requests and will not retaliate for making one. If we deny a request and you reside in a jurisdiction with an appeal process (such as Colorado), you may appeal by replying to our response; if the appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general or data-protection authority.
The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over TLS. We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect inquiry data and restrict internal access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; we take steps proportionate to the kind of data we handle on this site (typically a name, email, company, and a description of what someone is trying to build).
The site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email alex@poweredbycatalyst.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to make the change more visible, which may include a notice in the site footer or direct contact with active clients. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
International transfers. Catalyst operates from the United States. The service providers we use may process information in the United States or other countries, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. By using the site or contacting us, you understand information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
Governing law. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in this policy waives any non-waivable right you have under your local law.
No warranty as to outcomes. This policy describes our practices in good faith. It is not a contract and does not create rights beyond those provided by applicable law.
